Coaxial Cable End (For Cable TV) Broken - Is It Fixable?

I was trying to figure out why my TV had no picture or sound so I stupidly pulled out the coaxial cable from my cable box. It looks like it's busted because I can't get it back in. My question is, can a new end be put on, or does the whole cable need to be replaced? I am hoping the end can be fixed, either by me or the cable guy. Thanks for any info. you can provide!
