@Mom2Dogs wrote:This is probably an ignorant question but here goes....IF we cancel our Spectrum internet and cable TV and we have our cell phones thru Spectrum and are not changing cell phone providers.. can we still use our cell phones, but would just have to put the new FRONTIER password into our phones correct?
There is a WIFI charge on our bill each month, possibly I am misunerstanding what that charge is.
Frontier does not offer cell phone service.
This is such a trying experience...there are several programs that my husband refuses to give up, and they are only offered on SPECTRUM cable, not on any other streaming service...but he continues to gripe about the bill....I am quickly losing patience over the whole thing.
I have Spectrum for my internet/TV/cell phone. I dropped our landline with them and did have the number ported to the cell phone. I've noticed on their commercials for their mobile phone that is says Spectum internet required but that may just be for the pricing.
I have a separate WIFI charge monthly on my bill because I rent a WIFI router from them rather than just purchasing my own.

We had Spectrum and switched to YouTube tv. We get every channel excepet fpr Rnews which is a Spectrum channel. Completely happy and save about $100 per month. We get our WIFI through Greenlight. Again a switch from Spectrum. No difference except for $$$. We use Tracfones.

Spectrum offers cell service at a very reasonable rate, provided you have their internet service. Same goes for landline service. 1gb of data is $20/mo. I don't spend a lot of time on my phone, so i barely touch the data capacity. Landline is $14/mo. Their cell service runs through Verizon towers. The more data you need, the higher the price. They do have an Unlimited package, but I haven't checked prices in awhile. I don't know if they offer cell service by itself.

@Mom2Dogs I had Spectrum streaming TV and Specturm internet and my complex switched to Frontier, so I lost the streaming TV, went to YouTube TV and had Frontier internet service. I was always told that you could only have Spectrum mobile phone service if you had Spectrum internet. Has that changed? I had to reset my T-Mobile cell phone to my new router's password when I switched from Spectrum to Frontier.

@Mom2Dogs wrote:@Suzy Q from PA The biggest issue is my husband, he complains about the cost but right now is not willing to give up a few channels. I am going to stop looking for different plans until he make a decision and sticks with it.
We've been able to keep our Spectrum cable cost reasonable by going with their Select 15 plan. We get a lot of channels, but then pick 15 of the big name channels we watch the most.

@AuntG We have tried that plan, it was a no go for my husband.

This sounds familiar! DH complains about the cost and a lot of things but can be very stubborn when I make suggestions! UGH!
Sorry I can't help with your question. We use Verizon for everything and they are very expensive in my opinion.

I think you need an extra computer to look up instructions for Macs and Ipads. For me, Chromebooks are good and easy, but once I get things just right, Apples are great!

Spectrum is one of the worst companies there is. Yes they have cell phones to try and get their ccutomers to bundle and get a good rate. I canceled Spectrum cable and only get intenet from them to the tune of $100 a month. If a good company comes along for internet I will definitely cancel Spectrum in a NY minute! I live in MN.
