Can you use a mouse with Chromebooks?

Someone told me you can't.  They sound like the cat's meow, but no mouse is a deal breaker for me.

I use a wireless mouse with my chromebook even though I have a touchscreen.

Hi @depglass ,

I have never liked using a track pad, either with a Windows laptop computer, or with a Chromebook, so I use a wireless mouse with my Chromebook.

You just need to have an open USB port available on your Chromebook that's not being used, so that you can plug the dongle in that comes with the mouse so that it can receive a wireless signal.

Don't make the mistake of throwing the little dongle away like my Mother-In-Law did though, if you do decide to get a wireless mouse to use with your Chromebook!! Smiley LOL Smiley Wink

She called my husband up and told him that she couldn't understand why her computer wasn't working with her mouse, and that was why--she threw it out thinking that she didn't need it.

Wow, you were ahead of your time.   Chromebooks weren't in use until around 2011.
