Bose has never been my choice, but that aside. I have heard them and seen a few my friends purchased, but these were the 1st Bose to have CD players.

Questions: What Inputs are available on your Bose?

If it has an Aux Input, you have to see what type of cable it will accept.

I know some have an Aux Input, and with most electronics, those are to add a wired external device. You can buy a CD player from Amazon for under $40, some even come with a cable.

Got any questions, answer my above, and maybe we can figure it out by you asking more. I'm game!

Hi John,

Thanks for the tip about the aux.  I will def try that.  I am pretty lame about electonics but this might do the trick.  I see lots of players on Amazon... The Bose radio still works so with the aux I can use a cd player and stream from my tablet correct?  I read that cd players do just die out after some time.  Not worth repairing in most cases.

It "technically" is not streaming. When information passes through any wire or cable it is called hard wired, which is usually the best, but today's technology changes all of that. Streamed/Bluetooth/WiFi/Cloud! All are Wireless, just different names.

If you get the correct cable that plugs into your Tablet's Output and into the Bose AUX Input! You should be ready to go. Just make sure your Bose is set to AUX, as opposed to CD or Radio.

Glad to help whenever I can,
