Bose Moving Jobs Out of USA

There was a news report in our local paper today that Bose is laying off 200 people from the local Bose plant and they are shipping the jobs to Malaysia. And the plan is to lay off more and ship the jobs to Mexico.

".....the Richland County plant makes products for North America and the Asian-Pacific market, and the company needs to be MORE EFFICIENT to meet the demands of those regions. According to the company, the way to be more efficient is to move more of their production to Malaysia by 2013."

In other words, cheaper labor and bigger profits.

Way to go Bose.

Saving one dog won’t change the world, but it will surely change the world for that one dog
