Boost Mobile.. Do your research

as always, I want to throw something at the the TV whenever QVC Airs an electronic item. I feel so bad for uneducated people whoe sooo believe everything people like David say and then get snookered into a deal that is not good for them. First off, realize that although they keep saying Samsung, the phone they are selling is the Galaxy 2 which is two plus years old. They also said it has the latest version of Android: 4.0. that is also false . the latest version of Android is 4.2 .2 jelly bean. They ey also said you have unlimited everything with boost mobile. that's stretching it a little bit as well. boost throttles your data after you reach a certain limit. what that means is they will slow your data down to a crawl which basically means it will be virtually useless. you won't be able to stream music or watch movies or anything like that. I know when my phone get to that level, I can't even check my email are open a website let alone try to use GPS. You might not need lot of data but again just know what you're buying instead if listening to a used car salesman. they were showing the voice action commands and what they didn't tell you is that the latest version of Android actually has that built in and more in a product called Google now. your phone will never get updated. there is a brand new Android version expect it in the fall. lastly, they told you that boost one runs on Sprint network. do your research and google how sprint functions in your part of town. don't go by any map they are giving you. if you look on the internet, you will see hundreds and thousands of people complaining about how poor the Sprint network is. they will tell you that they can barely even get service in their areas that often renders their phones and data connections useless. please please please please do your homework. If you looked closely at the TV, you could see they were using their strong Wifi connection for the demonstration ration, not Sprint's. if you have a phone or GSM find another phone at a similar price, you might want to consider something like straight talk which uses AT&T or T Mobile and only cost $45. there is also another brand called solavei which gives you 4 gigabytes for $49. if this is a good deal for you, by all means by it but I just want you to know what I mean. I personally use a Galaxy Nexus device straight talk on the T Mobile network. I pay $46 with tax. I get about 2 to 2&a half gigabytes of data even tho Straight Talk also advertise unlimited. these prepaidon't really offer that. and I'm using the same T Mobile network I use to use at a fraction of the cost. plus my phone comes directly from Google so every time they issue an update I get that within a week. happy shopping. And if youre in more rural areas, triple check coverage maps and speak to people you know before any network.
