Thinking about dropping cable and considering a Blu-ray player with wifi and apps. So my question is how much Internet can you get through a Blue-ray player: Are there any that you can use a browser with or do you go to Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, etc. via apps?
I'd like to be able to get to, for example, Comedy Central and watch episode videos. If a Blu-ray player can do it I'll drop cable in a heartbeat.
What lingo do I look for so I know? Or is there some other device, not including a whole new TV, that does what I'm imagining? Obviously I'm new to the whole smart tv concept.
I have an older TV w/out hdmi so attaching my laptop isn't an option at this time.
I hope this question even makes sense.
Thanks.
