I bought a used Windows computer to play some older games and to be more compitable with Microsoft Office.  I've taken on additional responsibilities with our local Masters Gardeners and want to be able to work remotely.  There is a form we fill out and that is where I'm having problems.  I know Pages can open Word documents but, the formatting doesn't always work or look right.

I finally set up the computer yesterday and I can't believe how much I've forgotten when it come to Windows.  After some time, I was getting back in the groove.  The computer runs Window 7 Professional which is the version I want for the games I own. Which is the best free Office like suite?  Thanks.

Windows 7 will stop receiving security updates on January 14, 2020, the end of its user life.

I use Chrome tools for Windows. This cloud based suite works well with Doc files. It does include a nice calendar and can be used on the Apple platform.

Libre Office is a free set of Office tools. I did not use it, because I like Outlook and Word better.

I used to use WPS Office on windows computers.

I recently read an article about it and was reminded how much I liked it. It is compatible with MS Office and Mac office suite of programs. I believe they also have other versions to include iPad now so I may check it out again.

Not sure how it is for creating forms...never had occasion to use that feature. I do recall it was extremely easy to use.

@glb613  I like OpenOffice. It is compatible with Word.
