Hi, I could if you can tell me how, I didn't even know we could do that, lol!

I managed to close some of the Meta ads, but it says that doesn't stop them from doing what they do - we just don't see it anymore. Guess what, it's even worse after shutting them.

@Desi   you can google "restore windows" it tells you step by step

@Desi Go to your phone settings, then the list of Apps. When you see facebook, click on it and then uninstall. I think my photos are all in the cloud but some people download photos before deleting facebook or instagram. I never had instagram so I only deleted facebook and messenger. Facebook is sneaky, they send you emails from facebook friends facebook feed to try to suck you back in.

Okay, update. Spent the last hour on the phone with my youngest, my reluctant in-house tech support. Due to my being tech-challenged this took forever, but I was able to allow him to remotely access my computer. First he thought I'd need to reset the router. However, he finally determined that for some reason, my adblocker (looks like a red stop-sign) was the problem. So he disabled it for Fb and voila', back in business! No clue why that suddenly caused issues, pretty sure I didn't touch it unless it was in an attempt to fix this. Anyway. if any of you are still having the same issue, try disabling ad-blocker. Hoping it's a permanent fix because I can't go through that again anytime soon lol! Thanks for all the help and support you all offered, much appreciated!

This is just one reason I don't install adblockers.

I thought if I didn't I'd get hacked more easily or spammed or who knows what. I always err on the side of caution because tech is not in my wheelhouse as I clearly demonstarated, lol!

Hi Desi!  My tech guy just did the same here, he disabled Adbock and FB loaded perfectly, came over here to see if you were still having trouble. Sounds good!!
