Apple iPod Touch 4th Generation

Out of the clear blue sky today, I ended up ordering an iPod Touch. This will be kind of new to me so does anybody who already uses this have any helpful hints or words to the wise?

I have an old iPod Nano and that 4gb got used up really fast with music so I kind of wanted something larger anyway and I notice that this seems to do even more stuff. I never even thought I'd fill it up! I knew I had less than 1,000 songs but it turns out that it only held 800. I will enjoy the touch deal (since I will have a screen protector) and am really looking forward to some kind of newer technology. Not saying I don't like my old iPod. I really do but wanted something bigger.

I already went ahead and installed the current version of iTunes to one of my computers.

I'm wondering if I can pull all the music off the older version of iTunes that I have on an older computer from which I loaded the music to my old iPod. And I'm hoping that I have things set to that nothing automatically syncs to anything. In the new version I did find a setting that I could check to NOT allow anything to automatically sync.

I don't have the unit yet. I just ordered today so it will arrive tomorrow. Clearly I didn't get this from QVC (or I'd be waiting 2 weeks). Kudos to amazon - my favorite retailer of all time. They seemed to have the price to beat and saving on sales tax also makes a huge different on that amt of money.

Will this be compatible with my Bose SoundDock? (it's the original one) So many questions - will tomorrow ever come? hehe
