I'm thinking about upgrading from my iPhone 11.  If you have one, which one did you get and are you happy with it?

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Re: Anyone have iPhone 16?

[ Edited ]

I just got an iPhone 16.  It is the basic one, not the plus.  I too upgraded from an 11.  Have had it about two weeks.

So far, so good for me.  I like some of the camera features much better.  I have to say I use my phone for making calls, texting and photos.  I use the map feature to tell me how to get to new places while driving.    I do not use the full potential of all of the features it offers.🙃🙃🙃

efit to add:  It seems lighter in weight than my 11.

@gidgetgh I upgraded from the 15 plus to the 16 Pro Max and am satisfied with it, but it has bells and whistles I just do not need! The camera is awesome though!😁  You can get creative with emojis, etc. All in all, I like it.🙂

@4kitties - those are pretty much what I use my phone for also- calls, texting, pictures, map.

What color did you get?

I'm thinking about upgrading from my iPhone 13.  My biggest concern is that there is no SIM card slot..........everything is eSIM.

I use tracfone.  I attempted to upgrade to Visible Wireless w/an eSIM to my iPhone 13 and couldn't get it to work.

Found one online forum where a person wanted to use Tracfone w/the 16 and they had to futz around with different folks at tracfone to get it to work properly.  Would probably purchase an unlocked one directly from Apple.  When I went to Best Buy about a month ago, they didn't carry the unlocked version.

The good thing is that you can trade in your iPhone at Apple, Best Buy, and Consumer Cellular. Not sure about Tracfone. It will (at least) lower your cost on a new iPhone.

@Toot1920 - thanks. I would go to the Apple Store to get it.

I got my first real cell phone an iphone 16 plus.  I've used a pay as you go one for years.  Now the old phone isn't working and I would have to update to a different phone so went for the iphone.  My daughter just got an iphone 16 pro max and I chose the plus because it's larger.  Will be watching youtube to see how to use it.  My old phone had a home button and was looking for one on the 16 but was told it doesn't have one.  I could use that when I try to get out of a site and don't know how to exit it.  I have taken some photos and that's really an update for me.  When my power goes out, and it does a lot this time of the year, my pay as you go didn't work.  I got my 16 on Tuesday and my power went out the following Tuesday for 2 days.  Had no problem getting updates from the power company on the new phone.  Wondering if Apple has a site showing how to use the phone.  I'm keeping my home phone.

@kismet - welcome to the iPhone. There should be a lot of you tube videos out there for you.
