Anyone have good luck with online computer repair?

You know, my clean pc, and outfits like that. It all sounds so easy. What is the charge after that "free" diagnosis? I have a good cheap tech, but it still means hauling the computer 30 miles and being without it for a day or two. So tired of those loading circles and I have very little stored on this computer. Is this one of those too good to be true offers?
