Anyone have a Microsoft Surface?

I have finally had it with my iPad. I want to use it for games and get either a Microsoft Surface or Google Chromebook for email and web surfing and purchasing. I just can't 'tap tap tap' and increase and decrease any more. Sick of it. What I'm wondering is if the Surface will sit on your lap like a laptop with that kickstand? I always sit in my chair with my feet up and my 'electronic device' on my lap. So it has to be able to do that easily. I don't want something falling over all the time. That would be even more annoying than tap tap tap.
