Let me be an enabler and say,”Go for it. “. Did you like the green?  I haven’t seen it and hoping it’s a matte and not shiny. Let us know what u decide?

@dodies -   Ok, here’s my assessment. 

I liked the size on the regular 11 and the wide choice of colors (red!).

I did not like the 11 Pro because I thought it was too small. 

I loved the 11 Pro Max because of the size. I would order the gold. 

When I was standing in the store and the alarm was going off and I was waiting for someone to come and turn that off I asked the couple standing at the table with me what they were picking up and they said the Pro Max. 

What I hesitate over is 1- that I am also buying an iPad so together, $$$$.  And, 2- do I really NEED everything that the Pro Max has???  But I love the size and the longer battery life. My 6 just seems so small to me now,  hard to type on it. 

I don’t replace my gadgets often. I have an iPhone 6 that will not update to the new iOS. My iPad is over 6 years old and it won’t update either. I also have a mini and I just checked and it won’t get the update either. It concerns me that I’ll no longer get updates which include security fixes, as you mentioned. So, I am definitely buying a phone and an iPad and my mini will just have to be obsolete. 

Like you, I would order the phone and take it back to the store for set up,  I can do the iPad myself, but don’t want to do the phone.

I have the iPhone 6s and it is super large and perfect - I also like the earphone jack because I have Bose earphones that I use all the time to listen to books.  

It has a retina display and I have plenty of storage space left. I have no reason to trade up and every reason not to because I will lose my earphone jack.

I have a 6, too. Got it when they came out. It was a little big after my 4s but I got used to it. It is in perfect condition and does everything I need it to. I’ll keep it until I feel like it isn’t performing like I need it to. I really don’t want a larger phone so I’m keeping this one as long as I can.

My baby brother is very happy w/his iPhone 7.  He told me yesterday as long as his phone does what he wants it to do, he'll keep it till it falls apart.  Only then will he upgrade.

Didn’t plan on it but DH’s phone won’t charge. I’ve done the troubleshooting with no luck. It’s almost dead & was can’t even reboot it. It’s a 6 but really in perfect shape. I wonder if the last update did something to it. The nearest Apple store is almost 2 hours away. I don’t understand how it can just die like that.

I get so excited every time the new one comes out. Love the colors on the 11. I have the X and I love it so won't be getting this one.

Wow! Those of you with I phones seem to be the only ones that retailers cater to ( at several of the Costcos I frequent (CA, AZ, NM) don't even carry Android charging cords).  My family has nothing but Samsungs, which we love, and only one smartphone needs to be replaced soon.  How that Apple and Samsung both make phones that cost close to $1000 we will look at refurbished or Huwei or an off brand that Costco sells (about $200).  The only thing on the new expensive models that tweaks my interest is the camera but a dedicated  camera (that can send wi to to the cloud) is something that I would spend up to $500 on.

After looking at them more online last night and asking my sister for her opinion since I kept going back and forth and back and forth and back and forth, LOL, I decided on the regular 11 and am going online today to decide which color.

By saving money there, I'll feel more comfortable with my ipad choice.

I appreciate everyone's input.  Everything I have is Apple and I'm really comfortable with them so I wouldn't change to anything else.

If I do, it won't be until after I return from my vacatioin.  I have an iPhone 6 and I still find it does everything I want or need.  But, I would like a better camera since I use my phone for photos more than my 35mm camera.
