I need to get a new phone, but I find it silly to stand in line and fight someone for the privilege to be the first to own one. My current iPhone is the max size...my eyes are so bad I really do need the larger screen, if I set the font size at maximum, I am able to see texts, etc without glasses... it the max size is so heavy....haven’t decided if I will take the plunge yet. I am not in a hurry. I will let the hype settle down and see what the problems are with the new one that are reported first. It’s a lot of money to be a guinea pig.

@gidgetgh  et al.  I bought the XR about a month ago.  Didn’t know there was a new one coming but that diesn’t really matter to me.  

@icezeus , I had the 6+ and I was just going to keep going with it.  Then the battery started dying unexpectedly and I am taking a trip so I caved and bought the XR.  I like that the screen is bigger than the 6+ but the phone is smaller.  LM

My DH got the new 11 today from Apple store, gave him a trade in on old one, he saved $250.00, very happy camper with his new toy. Got the regular model, not the Pro.

  Both DH & I got the iPhone 7 last year. Love them. They work fine.No new phones for atleast a couple of years.

My kids have hand me down 6's, DH and I have 8's.  We haven't been impressed with those since we got them.  Not in any big rush to get a new phone but we do have 1 kid who is getting to the age where a phone would be appropriate so we will see.

Bought the new iphone 11 in mint green. I LOVE IT!
Traded up from a 6 Plus model which will not be receiving updates.

I find the size of this 11 fits in my palm much better than the larger 6 Plus did. And the ability to crop photos is appreciated. Also I have noticed the battery lasts longer. 

But what I enjoy most is to create animojis. So much fun to see animated creations from my facial movements. Like a new toy.

Didn’t plan on it but DH’s phone won’t charge. I’ve done the troubleshooting with no luck. It’s almost dead & was can’t even reboot it. It’s a 6 but really in perfect shape. I wonder if the last update did something to it. The nearest Apple store is almost 2 hours away. I don’t understand how it can just die like that.

My conspiract theory is these phones fail because they want you to keep upgrading when new models come out.  Amazing that people keep spending hundreds to thousands of dollars on phones. We got through life just fine until 1995 without these things. Im glad I never fell into the "phone trap"
