Anyone else? My computer upgraded Windows 10...

...I lost the audio.  Then I had a trouble shooter check it.  Audio drivers problem.  Fixed it.  Yes, worked 24 hours.  Then I went back to them and let them know.  I went to their forum when no response.  There were dozens of people complaining.  I keep getting pop-ups suggesting this, that or the other.  Driver Easy keeps popping up.  I cannot seem to find anything out about that.  Does anyone else here have same/similar problem, anybody had experience with audio drivers, etc.

HELP.  I am so frustrated.  My #1 son is IT geek but he is out of country working on project.

Upgrade of some sort bugs me every morning when I start computer.....so far I'm just clicking them away.........but from past experience...eventually they just move in and do it without permission.

These updates mess everything up and often have to hire an IT to get back to normal.  Not sure what you're referencing as I've not had any recent update YET.

Mine did some crazy things.  I guess I get my expertise being able to fix things because hubby is always having issues. LOL

Yes my desktop just recently had a new version of Win10 installed. Before it installed I noticed a statement on my notification that there was one coming and that I could install it then instead of waiting...so I did. There was only one issue I had and that was with a volume control setting which disappeared...but I found it later. Everything else is fine.

After the update I did a disk clean up and CCleaner run. I usually do those things right after Win10 updates.

Thanks, all of you for your input and responses.

I got a notice that there would be an upgrade but I did not agree to it  Instead I did not want the upgrade. It did it surreptitiously during the night and the next morning I have an upgrade and no audio which, for me, is a downgrade.

Something  crazy always when I get an upgrade.  Once I could not even get into the computer, only the desktop and it would not take my password.  It kept telling me it had sent me a password to my email.  That is an old email and I don't have it on my iphone so I could not get into my computer to get the email.  Finally, I guess it got tired of me and opened up after about 3 weeks.

Now this is frustrating.  No audio.  I have to copy and paste URL and send to my email on the phone and listen from there.  Technolgy love-hate relationship.

@Nuttmeg    I sent him a note.  He said "Don't do anything until I get back. Let me look at it and probe it.  Don't buy anything.  You might be buying a virus or bankrupt yourself with somebody getting into your bank account."  So I wait.  ;-)

Did you check your settings for sound?  Go to Settings > System > Sound.  Sometimes an update sets audio volume all the way back to zero.  You can adjust back to an audible level.

Yes, frequent problems after an update, usually running very slow.  I usually do a restore, either removing the update or the date before it.

After the restore, Microsoft will hound me about the update, but I hold off as long as I can.  During that time, Microsoft solves the problems and the new update is OK.

However, I don't guarantee the new update will be OK, but so far, it's worked for me.

If it was me, I'd get into th device manager and uninstall the audio.  Restart the computer and let Windows reinstall it.  If there is an option to update the drivers, try it first.
