I signed up for this services as other members on the Q Board recommended it and it has been wonderful. Lately, however, I have noticed more than one call getting through. Yesterday there were three, today so far, one. Each time it is the name of a city and the abbreviation of the state following it. I have reported each one of these to NOMOROBO, as they request. However, is there a new phenomenon of which I am unaware that is causing this to happen.

I was having the same problem on my Iphone. I checked my settings, phone, call blocking, and noticed the button allowing Nomorobo to block calls was not turned on (it was before...go figure). So turned it on and it seems things are back to good now.

I've had NOMOROBO for years, and calls have always gotten through to me. What has worked best for me was getting a phone with call blocking. Every time I get a nuisance call I just block it. You have to get one with the ability to block lots of numbers. They also make call blockers that you can hook up to your phone.

I haven't had problems of which I'm aware. Every now and then a call gets through, but it doesn't even ring. It just shows 'missed call' and I see that it - I don't know, did something. ![]()
Don't have it for my cell phone yet, as I guess Android compatibility isn't here yet. But I did sign up so that when it is I can get it. Well, as long as it doesn't cost a ton of money.
I think nomorobo is one of the best things to come along in a long time. But I also think that these devious people are coming up with new ideas to get through, all the time, so maybe it takes a bit for the service to catch up.
UGH! Telemarketing and door soliciting - the bane of my existence.

It was good for years. In the last year though, I've been getting calls.

@Deanie, after reading your post i went to the NOMOROBO website to check them out. I dont like their Terms.
I use the Do Not Disturb call screener built into both of my Samsung phones. One of these phones is an old Jellybean OS, the other is current. So Do Not Disturb has been included in phones for years.
I've set them to ring/notify me for calls or messages coming from anyone on my Contacts list. This way, robocalls I do want (from my Dr's offices and pharmacy) aren't blocked.
Anything else calls and the phone remains silent.
Later, when I do notice I missed a junk call, I can either ignore that it ever came in, or add it to my phone's Blocked Calls list so if they ever dial me again they're aware I've been proactive to block them.
This costs me nothing and is all just making use of features that came with the phone, and is already taking up precious storage space.
This is a link with several options for stopping unwanted calls and texts. Scroll down to read/compare apps and see video help.

This is a never ending topic.... I was told that NOMOREROBO could not be used on cell phones. I did implement it on my landline and it did cut down on the scam calls; however, a few still get through. I recently learned about using Do Not Disturb on the cell phones, allowing Favorites to get through. This is the current plan along with continuing to block any scam calls. It helps to be proactive regarding this issue.

Thanks, I will investigate the Do Not Disturb feature. Maybe the scammers are just getting more clever.

Excellent idea @phoenixbrd. Thanks.

YES! I am! We signed up with them around a year ago and it worked like a charm but now, scammers are using live numbers to call you so when you report the number that got through, the robo sees it's a live number and does not block it. That's my guess anyway. However, it completely stopped working for us. I'm thinking of buying a machine that you can update numbers limitlessly. This robo stuff is nonsense. It WAS good, but no more.
