Any ideas of what to do?

I am a novice when it comes to trying to "fix" things when they go wrong on the computer.

I have TONS of pop-ups. Discount wizard, TXT linx, etc. How do I get rid of these? I have tried to go into Internet Options, but there is so much there, I get overwhelmed. Should security be "medium", "low", "high", and there is another something that has "high, medium, low".

What should I do to get rid of this? It is very aggravating when I am on the computer.
