Another Yahoo Problem

I have Yahoo as my home page and sometime over the last couple of days it must have been "upgraded". Anyway, it has a new format and I was able to use it yesterday. Today, the page comes up, but after about two seconds, the screen goes completely white. I can refresh the page and it will show but it quickly disappears again.

Wondering why it is happening. Could it be my OS system is too old and it is not supported any longer?

I do plan to upgrade my Mac this weekend when the disk comes. And that is another question I have. Do I get rid of the older version before I install the new one?
