I just joined Amazon Prime.  I'd been thinking about joining for years.  The first thing I want to order says:  This item will be sent by ground transportation and may take up to 5 business days to be delivered.  That's what it usually is without Amazon Prime.  Do many things say this?  I was looking forward to two day delivery.

No. I placed an order on a Friday, it was delivered the next day using Amazon Prime.

Did it say it was Prime Eligible? It must say that for it to arrive in 2 days. Not all items are prime eligible.

Yup, Qgirl26 is absolutely right.

I only joined prime because there was a membership sale.  I wasn't sure if I bought enough to justify it.  Turned out I was sick last year and had to rely on online purchases, so it made it worth while.  Now that things are back to normal, I haven't used it much.  I have noticed many items that don't apply to the two day shipping.  I've also noticed items I buy are cheaper elsewhere.  Probably shouldn't have, but in January I renewed for another year.

@ID2 @Qgirl26  Yes, it definitely says Amazon Prime eligible.  I actually chose to only pull up Prime items, too.

Call their CS and they will surely give you the info you need.  I've been a Prime member for years and there has never been ONE TIME when CS didn't address my concern with clarity and speed.  They have the best CS in the business from my experience.  That's why I spend so much $$  with Amazon Prime.

We've been Amazon Prime members for a few years and really like it. As others have stated, you do have to specify Amazon Prime as a sort for free, 2-day shipping. Even then, there are some items that take longer than 2 days to deliver, but we haven't found that to be the case very often and they're usually clearly marked so you can decide if the delivery timeframe will work for you. Over the years, we've saved enough in shipping fees to renew our Prime membership, even after they increased the annual fee from $25 to $99.

That's really weird then. I would be upset at that too. If it says Amazon Prime eligible, it should come in 2 days. It sounds like an item that should not be consider prime.
