I think you will need to wait for the update. it may be missig key software. I got mine from an automatic update.  I am rather dissapointed with my fire tablet. I go tht 7 inch and it never wants to connect to wifi and it had a screen flaw. I got the 8" hd and its just as cheap looking. 

 

I liked the older models that di dnot have the tablet look. they were built better and ran better
