Adding Extension Problem MacBook Pro

I have a MacBook Pro, using the current version of Catalina and Safari.

I have never had any Safari extensions installed and now when trying to add extensions from the App Store I cannot do so.  I know the process of how to add an extension.  I am able to go so far into the process but when instructed to check the box to add the extension I cannot do so.

Both DH and I have been researching to try and figure out what the issue is.  We are coming up empy handed.  I am wondering if there may be a setting somewhere which needs changed and whether it is in Safari or the ISO.  TY.

@Allegheny Call the apple store and make appointment for someone to call you regarding our specific question. 855-6950047 I have done this before with success or call your internet provider this has sometimes helped me step by step.

Re: Adding Extension Problem MacBook Pro

@Allegheny"when instructed to check the box to add the extension I cannot do so.

What is stopping you?  Need more info.

Please clarify:

Name of extension?

Cursor unable to move to the checkbox?

Checkbox greyed out?

Are you getting an error message?  If so, what does it state?

Please post a screenshot of the checkbox section.

Have you run Disk Utility First Aid & restarted your MBP?

Prior to calling Apple (they may not help regarding 3rd party issues) you should contact the developer.  Info is where you purchased the app from (AppStore extension section).

Try googling by entering a search using the exact name and model of your MacBook and the words 'unsupported file extensions' or 'supported file extensions.'
