Has anyone here gotten rid of the obnoxious AdChoice Popups? I encounter them when I go to some of my favorite decorator blogs, etc. I have done some Googling on the subject but I am truly clueless when it comes to this stuff. I don't want to do something that gives me even more problems.

Thanks very much for any help. I appreciate your time.

I don't know what browsers you use, but have you tried AdBlock Plus?  I know that it works with both IE and Chrome.  It could work with other browsers but I don't know, since I only use those two.   It's free and unintrusive.

I installed AD Block on my Firebox browser and it really helps cut down those annoying ads. Not hard to install and not instrusive.

@chickenbutt@Nuttmeg and @Zita thank you all so much! I mostly use IE, but also have Chrome. I, hopefully, will be kicking AdChoice's arse to the curb. Ha!

One more question, do any of you know how this will affect the use of sites like Mr. Rebates? I would have to think they'd get blocked out, too.

I appreciate the responses. Thank you!

Pup - That is an excellent question!

For the most part I haven't had interference but I DID find that I had to block it when going through MrRebates to QVC.    You can have it unblock on certain sites and I did unblock QVC for that reason exactly.

I also found that I needed to use Chrome, and not IE, when purchasing through MrRebates/QVC because I had problems with not getting credit through IE.

There may well be other sites that are problematic with ad blockers but the only one I've had trouble with has been QVC.  HTH!  Smiley Happy

I have it - it does not get rid of adchoice ads on Windows 10. Ad blockers get rid of most ads but not all. I had to go through specific steps to remove a few of them. The only one I have not gotten rid of yet is adchoice.

Google & you find instructions but I have not tried it yet. It is going to be more time consuming that the others.

I was wrong - I had AdBlock, not AdBlock Plus. I just switched & - AdChoice is gone! Thanks!

Oh gees, I just dealt with this.   To my surprise, it was a combination of things.

I cleared my browsing history and then scanned the cookies and found a couple I deleted  ... one was Generous deals ..... and then I went to Control Panel and Uninstall programs to see what was there.   Darn it, there was a PROGRAM called Generous Deals that I had to uninstall!   Boy, they are sneaky!

Hope this helps.    Tink
