Sorry to hear this wasn't the solution. I was really hoping it would be something easy to resolve. I think I had the same phone you do--the Samsung A10e--and not having TRACFONE clicked on was a problem for me when I was activating. 

 

I looked on the HSN site and it looks like a lot of people are having activation problems with the one your son had--the A11. It's a shame because it looks like a nice phone. Anyway, glad you were able to get a refund with no problem.

 

I hear you about technology. It's so amazing when everything goes right and so frustrating when it doesn't. Very happy to hear your hair dryer was able to bring you Kindle back to life! Smiley Happy
