I don't know how far out these things can be checked, but are you aware of any Tracfone TSVs on QVC or HSN this spring?

hsn was showing a samsung tracfone, on Monday. That's where we got ours from, last spring.

@Tinkrbl44   I hope they have a good one this year.  I always order one for my mom every year or two.  I sure hope and pray it's NOT a Motorola...that phone has been nothing but trouble 😟

Thanks for the reminder. Mine is up in March so also hoping for a nice TSV. I usually purchase phones on HSN. They seem to have better deals.

I did the same after a comment by HckeyNut John ... he bought a Tracfone special and got a year of service, PLUS the new phone.

That's what I did last year ... The Samsung on HSN cost me $99 including the goodies  ....  and a full year of service by itself on the Tracfone site would have cost more than that.  

I'm hoping for a Samsung special from Tracfone by April, since my year of service ends on May 4th.   lol

I went over to HSN and searched Tracfone Samsung.

It suddenly occurred to me I could just buy one of the phones there ... it doesn't HAVE to be a TSV ... duh.

Frankly I like the basics .... don't need whistles and buzzers, since I mostly use my laptop for the internet.

Anyway, the phone I bought last spring for $99 is now $59.

I could buy a newer version of the phone I use right now and love .... and get 365 days of service for $12 a month on flex pay.  Order it and activate it in May.

I'm giving this some thought .......  that would save a bunch of money, right?

That 59.00 is the one we got.  Great phone. I think you can buy a year of service for $50-70. We like getting a little bigger screen every year.

That amount of minutes etc for a year is at least $125 right now to duplicate what the $59 Samsung is offerring. 

Buying time on Tracfone isn't the best of bargains.

Also now they usually give you a year to activate.

There's a TracFone Big Deal on the homepage right now. It's the newest 5G Motorola for $79.00. I'm on my second Motorola phone with TracFone and I've never had a problem with either one, so I'm tempted to upgrade to the Big Deal.
