Re: ALERT -- "Stealer" Autofiller Malware

@PickyPicky3

This malware hijacked your browser with program in the Windows program files on your computer.

The best way to protect your data is Malwarebytes.

Re: ALERT -- "Stealer" Autofiller Malware

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, I have a Chromebook and do not have anything like this on my device. I thought the whole point of a Chromebook is you can not catch viruses. Is malware different from viruses?

@Jordan2  I think it's a great question, but I don't have the answer. I guess the chrome operating system company would know exactly what programs are stored in the cloud and get downloaded to your chromebook each time you use it. ????

The fact that my Microsoft security scans showed nothing is of concern to me. Thank goodness I downloaded the Malwarebytes. A person could get really obsessive/compulsive about scanning.
