A question about synching photos between my lap top &IPAD

I have photos on my IPAD that got there from synching my IPAD and Laptop. I cannot delete them directly from my IPAD because they were transferred from the laptop. If I delete them from my laptop and then synch again will they then be deleted from my IPAD?
