Amazon's having a pre-Prime Day sale (Prime day will be Oct 13, 14) with their Fire Recast DVR on sale for $129.99 ($100 off the normal price) and I've gone ahead and ordered it. It should be here by six tonight. It looks like a pretty handy little device and the price is pretty comparable to anything I could scrounge together myself (digital tuner and standalone external hard drive.) It should integrate well with my Fire TV and Fire Stick. I'll find out later tonight. The Recast works as a DVR on any of your over-the-air broadcasts. This model has a 500 GB hard drive built-in with two tuners. You can add an external hard drive if you need more storage. We'll have to see how it works later tonight.

That sounds like a good deal. Would be nice if you could record any shows streaming. I assume it will only work with Amazon products?

I'm going to drop most of my DISH programming so I can start streaming what I want to watch. Tired of paying $135 & still nothing on to watch or nothing worth watching. LOL!!!

I need a DVR to use to record any shows I may want to record whether it's off Amazon. Hulu, Fubo, Sling etc. May need a Tivo?

HD antenna is needed, I think I will stick with what I have until they build in the antenna

Won't do us any good. We love too far for the HD Antennae to work? We are 100 to 150 miles away.
