Ya got that right, especially not the NuVision! I bought an 8 inch one from Evine the beginning of the year in January, never returned an item as fast as I did that. I don't even think I used it one day, I had packed back up and was dropping at a shipment center at a Staples the next day.

I hope you get them in time for Christmas.  I ordered the 10" and received an email stating it probably won't arrive until after Christmas and when I checked my order the "estimated delivery date" is 12/28.  Good luck.  Luckily mine is for my husband and he knows about it so he's okay with that date.  I supposed that's what happens when you order from anyone right before the holiday.  Oh well.  Merry Christmas Everyone!

Kismit, first I bought the 10 inch, and it was more like a mini laptop than a tablet. IMO, the attached keyboard is very annoying, second, it's plastic instead of metal, has no weight to it, had a hard time getting it to get internet, had to always unlock Everytime I went to surf, (that I probably could have fixed, but the substance of the product in general felt cheap. Again, all this is just my opinion, maybe you'll like it. Good luck! Merry Christmas!

I checked the reviews on Walmart for the HSN tablet and it has a  4 star review.  If mine doesn't come on time it's not a big deal because it's for an older child I won't see until after Christmas. Sells for $227 there.

I actually want to be able to use it as a mini laptop. The keyboard is removable on these as I recall. But I like the idea of having one included. As far as being plastic, it's what I expected... How I feel about the specific plastic used will have to be determined. To me lightweight is a plus because I plan to be detaching the keyboard and holding it much of the time. Hopefully I won't issues connecting to wi-fi. I'll mostly be using my home wi-fi and I've gotten much better at connecting new items to that. As you mentioned, it's probably possible to off the default login. I keep meaning to turn that off on my laptop. On the otherhand, I kind of like the extra layer of security on an item I'm going to be carrying around away from home.

This just goes to show why there are so many options out there...we each have our own specific likes and needs we're attempting to fill.

Just got an email that my tablet from HSN should be delivered tomorrow.  I think I expected plastic and if it's light it will work for a teenager, I think.  My grandson, 11, got a surface last year when his computer no longer worked.  My daughter said it was the better choice to do his school work.  Hope the RCA is as nice as it looked on tv but surprised it didn't sell out.
