Re: What has happened to the Denim & Co Line?

Agree! D&C has changed a lot over the years. I recall when D&C first came on the scene, it seemed to be QVC's version of a upscale casual look. Almost like their version of Ralph Lauren or Tommy Hilfiger.

The type of look that appeals to all ages across the board.

Not so much these days! I Once in a while, there is a win, but that seems to be a rarity. Everything is obviously so mass produced, especially when you are accommodating such a range of sizes these days ( XS - 5X )

In my opionion, creativity just goes out the window at that point.

Re: What has happened to the Denim & Co Line?

For me this line has too many wild prints, stripes & tie-dye.  I ordered the TSV dress & the fit is frumpy.  I ordered my usual medium. The first ruffle is at the stomach area, then the pockets make the hips flare. The hem is very uneven.  The beach pants are not 30" as stated. They are tagged regular but measure at 32".  I am 5'5" & the hem is dragging 2" on the floor.  I am tired of paying return charges and now I read they are adding a restocking fee too.

Re: What has happened to the Denim & Co Line?

I have been trying to replenish some colors of crops for a couple of months.  They are sold out in 3x in all colors and have been from the first of the year.  I hope they are not discontuing those because they are really the only bottoms for summer in my closet.

Re: What has happened to the Denim & Co Line?

@barrel racer if they add a restocking fee, I'm going to stop ordering altogether. It's expensive enough to have to pay shipping both ways when most of the fit issues are the fault of manufacturing!

Plus there are hosts and vendors who do an abysmal job of giving enough product information to know how something fits. I use the click here measurements and most of the time that will help me make an informed decision. Shoes are another problem altogether. I ordered 2 pair of the Clark's "yoga flip flops) in my normal size and they didn't fit properly because the velcro fastener was too short so it pulled the toe post back too far on my foot. I'm not alone in that opinion because many reviews mentioned the same fit problem.

sorry I got off topic there.

Re: What has happened to the Denim & Co Line?

Totally agree.  I have returned most of the D&C ordered lately.  Unfortunately due to slow shipping there were many in the queue before I rec'd the first order and unable to cancel subsequent orders. I was wearing an older D&C(from around 2001) same size as ordered which fit perfectly.  Tried on the new ones and they were so long and tight in the hips.  Sleeve length was totally wrong for me.  Not long enough for 3/4 length but to long on forearm.  Pants problem with too long front rise has been complained about since at least 2005 and is still not fixed even when they offer petite sizes. Crotch is almost down to my knees.  I still have D&C pants ordered from the 90's that fit exactly right.

@Shelbelle yes, wardrobe sets were the best. If we went on a three night casino trip, I'd pack a four piece set and would be fine. This was about 15 years ago when QF & DC had good quality sets.

Re: What has happened to the Denim & Co Line?

The problem i am seeing is with the Pedel Pusher and Shorts that they have carried for severl years.  I have several and so last month i ordered the same size Small that i have ordered for years.  When i got them they were at least 2 inches bigger from the Crotch down to the end of the leg. I wanted some new colors.  i put the same pant on top of new ones and i couldn't believe the way the new ones were cut and sewn bigger.  It cost me over 20.00 to send the three back.  I checked where they were made and was the same country but they must have changed vendors because the new ones are huge.  I keep hearing Gary saying they are the Same Tried and True as we have always had.  Well if you read the reviews on A 70851 They are not the same as before.  I had the same problem with the A 251423 Shorts cut just like the pushers from the crotch down.  I already own 5 pairs of these and i put them next to the new one and the same problem.  I kept the one becaue i just didn't want to eat the cost to send them back.  I Believe that i am done with D & C even though though i have a closet Full.  I am now going with Susan Graver.

Re: What has happened to the Denim & Co Line?

I used to rely on this brand for basics but today the colors are not great, styles so so.  I wish they would forget the styling from "designers" and just give us a couple tees in a lot of colors with coordinating pants.  But maybe they are working on a squirrel print TSV!

I usually watch D&Co shows, and I find their things are nice and very pretty.  There are some I dont care for, but most of them I do.
