Have you all cut back online buying due to COVID-19 or there is no difference?

Just curious

Pretty much, except for bread mixes from Prepared Pantry.  Couldn't get yeast or flour for our bread machine, or even Rhodes frozen loaves from our grcoery stores.

Oneline ordering is our only way to get groceries, household supplies and other necessities in these days of "Please Stay At Home."

Buying clothes, shoes, jewelry and other non-necessities online or any other way seems shallow to me considering what we as a nation are going through.

Our rural area does not have grocery delivery services.  Many online food companies don't ship here but I have found a couple to help with meat/fish/chicken and fresh vegetables. It is not cheap and I am grateful that we can afford it.  Otherwise, we need to go in person to grocery stores and take advantage of senior hours.

I have a son and DIL in the front line as nurses in NYC.  I am just not in the mood to do shopping. But I do very much appreciate that QVC is staying on. I will probably shop a little in a few days when my anxiety lessens.

Blessings to your family. There are significant differences in lifestyle between those who live near the "hot spots" and those who don't.

Hoping that your son and DIL are able to access the safety gear they need, and also that they know that their work is deeply appreciated, as it should be.

@violann

Thank you so much for your kind words. It means a lot to me especially as I worry during these early morning hours.  The PE equipment issue is critical.  They are reusing masks for a week and were issued paper bags to store them in.  It will be similar soon for other parts of the country but hopefully, other institutions can take advantage of learnings from the NYC experience.  My kids are dedicated and refuse to evacuate.  They do not want to risk spreading the infection to other parts of the country. I am so proud of them.

I've pre-ordered a Prince music release from Barnes and Noble, stuff from Home Depot, shoes from DSW and clothing and accessories from JCP.  I even ordered some Home Reflections boxes from the Q.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

HEROES. We are praying for them every day. We should ALL be doing everything we can to support those who are suffering from this illness, and then remember that lives are being saved every day through the ceaseless efforts of our country's medical personnel.

Please keep us posted. We care about their welfare.

@violann, I will say a prayer for your brave family heroes.  They are the best in America,  My DH has a nephew who works as a specialist doc at a Boston-area hospital, and we are most concerned about him, as well.  May God bless you and your amazing family.
