trying to make a return using my own method

I am trying to return an item and would like to ship it on my own vs. having $8.95 deducted from my refund. I also need to reprint a packing list to include in the box (the original was applied diagonally across the seam in the box and got torn). When I attempt this, the only options showing are Ship it Back for $8.95 or Easy Drop Off with a Mobile Code, also for $8.95. Nowhere does it give the ability to ship using your own service (which I have done before). I have the address to send the return, but I am unable to print the packing list unless I spend the $8.95. Anyone else having this issue?

Just create your own address label by either typing it or writing it, and for the return slip just write down your order number, personal info, and item description and include it in the package.  I have done this multiple times.

Re: trying to make a return using my own method

@flashopper I do just as @Bookplate states. Write your info on a piece of paper and enclose in the package. I myself print the order info but you can easily write it down. I never save any invoices.

Be sure to mail it to the proper location in addition to having all information included inside the package.

I have found that it is no longer cheaper for me to ship it myself though. I use to be able to do returns on my own at a much better price. I don't return much at all but when I have I always check the cost and have found in the last couple years the return label shipping has been much cheaper.

@flashopper   You might want to put the items in the bag and go to the post office to check first.  Ask them what's the cheapest possible way to ship this.  I sent a box to a friend weighing over 25lbs once a few years ago and asked this same question.  Using all postage stamps, it cost me around $8.50, no joke.   I'm sure you can ship it cheaper.  The lady at the window wasn't busy, so she even put the stamps on for me.

Thanks for the suggestions! I didn't even think to write/type out my own sheet with the information. I own a business, so I can ship the package through there Smiley Very HappySmiley Very Happy

ha ha....postage has gone up a TON since a few years ago.

I have often thought I could send it cheaper only to find it more....even on something so light, like a bra!!!

@flashopper

On your order status page, there is a print icon at the top.

You don't have to bother to write it all down if you have a printer.

You don't need to go to the return area to print a copy of your invoice.

Call QVC Customer Service and ask them to send a copy of the packing slip via USPS mail (if you don't have a printer). It takes about 7-10 days. Then use that as your packing slip, mail the package with your OWN address label to QVC at the Post Office (where you'll receive a Tracking Label) and in 2-3 days you'll be able to contact QVC to make sure they have NOT billed you for return S&H and to issue a CREDIT to your credit card. I do it!

ETA: This is especially handy when returning more than one item. Put them all in one package and return at once for one postal charge. It's quick and works well at a reasonable price IMO.

@flashopper

 If you decide to " return your way postage " instead of the   QVC  return label , just remember regular 1st class mail takes for ever to get your return  and also watch out as QVC will automatically charge you the return shipping fee . The staff at their returns center make this mistake frequently . I've had to  contact QVC returns  frequently by being charged for returns  that I sent  my way . This has been going on for atleast 4 years in my experience .
