ordered item not showing up on order status

Has this happened to anyone...I placed an order last evening...(10:30pm local time Phoenix ..12:30 Eastern)..I went to bed

 

This morning I checked my email...no email regarding an order...and nothing in order status regarding the order.  It's like I never placed the order.  Was wondering if I dreamed making the order.  So I checked my bank online...there is a pending charge for the order. 

I called customer service...I had the order number from my bank pending charge...they couldn't find anything pending.  They told me to wait awhile....still nothing showing up.

I was wondering if because of Black Friday a lot of orders causing slowness of processing????

Has this happened to anyone else??    thanks

This apparently happens fairly frequently if you go by the posts on this subject.  Seems like most resolve if you give it some time. Best not to reorder or you'll end up with 2 orders.

I definitely don't want 2 ...thanks.  This hasn't happened to me before.  But that makes me feel better.  I am sorry to the other people that this has ahppened before.

Yes, this has happened to me a handful of times in the last few years. It's one reason I make sure to write down the order number and/or take a screenshot of the completed order receipt.  If it's not showing in your order status, customer service can't see it either.  Usually the email and order status updates properly the next day at some point.

 

It does often happen when there is a free shipping day or high volume on the site.

 

And no, please do not order again or you will end up with two orders and have to go through the process of returning one.  (I did that once because I didn't believe the customer service rep that said my order would eventually show up.☺️)

@ruthbe.  It's not unusual for this to happen, however, if the order did go through, it almost always appears the next morning after overnight processing.

 

At this point, I think you should contact the mods at qvcsocialteam@qvc.com and proceed as they recommend.  It's obvious the CS  rep to whom you spoke didn't know what to do.
