of a religious nature? Missing the memo?

@QVC

What am I missing here? We are not supposed to post religious things?

Like Christmas sentiments?

How about "have a blessed day? angels

"I am praying for you that all will be well"

"Oh, heaven forbid"

Re: of a religious nature? Missing the memo?

I think it's best to consider these boards a bit like any social gathering in which, per etiquette, religion and politics are avoided.

@libbyannE

OK I can do that! I would like some clarification. Are these new standards, do you know, or have I been doing something wrong for a long time? TIA

@LTT1

Saw this discussed a few weeks ago.

FWIW this is what was posted

(from "Welcome Get Started"):

Controversial Topic Guideline Change

To keep an atmosphere in the community of fairness, discussion of religion will be prohibited as a controversial topic. Wishing or asking someone for “prayers” will be allowed as this is an expression of comfort. Religious or controversial signature lines will be deleted.

Thank you for your understanding.

@LTT1  Do not expect an answer, the Mods rarely justify their actions

I found some helpful info under the Welcome Getting Started forum heading.
Some words or expressions containing a spiritual element are considered comforting while some aren't.

The guideline is pretty vague, giving the mods the flexibility needed to root out the empathic posts from the sarcastic posts that use the same words.

@Beth-QVC   Does that include Pagan religions and practices?

I'll say I'm glad I'm 70.  I'm glad I've raised my children.   Enough said.
