QVC just sent an email saying that I have been pre approved for a credit card. I called customer service to say I didn't want a card. Customer service said they couldn't help unless I had a card number. They connected me to the bank and they said the same thing.

I don't want a card, I don't want an account with that bank. What now?

You don't have to do anything.  Being pre-approved doesn't mean you actually have a card/account with the bank that issues the QVC card.

you dont have a card unless you APPLY for a card with all of the pertinent information.

no need to call anyone if you dont want it.

I agree with the others, you don't need to do anything, other than ignore the email/offer.

We receive "pre-appoved" CC offers all the time and we just shred them.

@hennypenny.  Everyone is right. Just throw the papers away. We get about 3 of these every day. Annoying.

@hennypenny.  Don't you get cc solicitations in your mail?  This is no different except it came through cyberspace.  They can't issue a credit card unless you authorize it.  Just ignore it

Thank you all for your replies!

Yes, I do get tons of credit card offers etc in the real mail everyday. This just seemed so very different. When I tried to deny it it became convoluted. I have since dumped the email.

It just seemed very weird.
