Interesting I just read your post and this has happened to me 4 times in the past three weeks with this size package, all 4 were jewelry items .  Three of the 4 items were in the package, fortunately, however one package just had the empty box.  I reported to both QVC and USPS...Not sure of the solution but it's definitely happening more frequently.
