on Dec 8 I contacted CS to request a return label for a defective product. I was told it would take 7-10 days to arrive.

on Dec 18 I received a full page letter from CS basically identifying all the info on that order: number, order number, description, date ordered, etc as well as info how to contact CS (which was where this letter eminated).

I then had to call CS again re getting a label. I was told it would come in a separate mailing. what?!?!

all this instead of simply sending the return labels QVC deems too expensive to include in our orders. this is inefficient and wasteful to say nothing of irritating as all get out.

I understand many companies limit or do not include return labels. given all the complaints about sizing (shoes, clothes) and given during holiday sales, labels should be included. in fact, some items do come with return labels, so its always a c*ap shoot if one will be included which definitely influences my making a decision to order.

the problem could be resolved simply and economically by  including a generic label with just  the barcode and Q return address and require the customer to complete the form re order and product info number inside the package. (somewhat already is the case).

alternatively, at a minium, set up an option in the endless voice mail system to request a return label to save the frustration of trying to contact a live CS representative. the social team used to assist with obtaining a label, but now they seem to be unable to assist in this. just as well as they in turn had transfer the request to CS.

not having labels, endless issues with sizing has resulted in my not making many orders.

thank you for your consideration.

If you have a printer, you can print your own.

You can choose a QR code on your return page and take that to UPS or USPS. After you get the code, they will do all the work to return your package.

Also, printers are relatively inexpensive and this would resolve your frustration. HSN had a printer for $49.00 as a TS.  I always get a return label with all my merchandise from the Q. Why put yourself through all that frustration when you have other choices.

You can also take a piece of paper and hand write all the info.

The only drawback on that is you don't get the barcode to return the package. If you want to pay on your own that is a solution.

As @spumoni99. Said, make your own label.  5h3 address is in the instructions for making returns.  Include ia piece of paper with the order #, your name and address, how you want the refund credited, reason for returning.   I've done this often since I rarely get packing slips from the California warehouse.  It's not a big deal.

@knittykitty.  I just noticed you said the product was d3fective in which case, I'd contact the mods at qvcsocialteam@qvc.com

Including your order # and ask for a return label.

well aware. do not and don't plan on getting a printer just for QVC returns.

hard to deal with our post office (in case you next suggest the QR code, already know that too).

middle name for QVC is 'convenience'. convenience is to walk in and drop off return with no wait or hassle.

no need to make suggestions re QR code or printer, thanks.

my point was they wasted time and effort, ie money and could have just sent a label. no more suggestions please. sorry I even posted.
