Why no GIFT return policy on your Return Policy?

No where on your label nor on your website (http://www.qvc.com/content/information/returns-exchanges-faqs.html) are there instructions for a GIFT return.  But then when I returned a QVC item (original packaging, unused, use your return label, provide a note stating my membership #, name, and that it is a gift return and I'd like a QVC credit, yada, yada, yada), you credit the PURCHASER's account.  Now when I call you say, "You should have called customer service FIRST."  How was I supposed to know that?  Was I supposed to read your mind?  And least have the decency to put it on the return label - "Please call customer service if returning a gift".  I'm a member too.  Why do you want to not treat me as well as the purchaser?
