A few months ago on Gem Day, I purchased J356808 Santa Maria Aquamarine 7 1/4" Tennis Bracelet. I was disappointed because the size was actually on 6 3/4" when clasped and not even 7 1/4" when it was laying flat. The Gemologist (watch the video presentation) went on and on about how they could never do this item again because the mine has been closed for decades and these are rare stones found in a vault from 1998. All 3 sizes sold out quickly. When I returned mine I called CS and asked if by chance there was an order that was canceled or at least one 8" bracelet available and I was told no and they could not offer it on a waitlist due to the rarity and having used all of the stones found in the vault. Just by chance last night I noticed that the website was showing that this bracelet was again available in all 3 sizes for the higher price (not the Gem Day price) which begs the question, if what they offered on Gem Day was ALL they could ever get and no waitlist was available how do they now have a full contingent of this bracelet in all 3 sizes now just a few months later? My guess, they are all returns like mine due to the small sizing and now the Q is reselling them at full price instead of "as is." Who can I contact to get this straightened out?

they are probably returns OR items that never left due to people not sending in their checks if they were purchased via check pay.
just because something is returned doesnt mean it goes to "AS IS." quite often items returned are sold again at the full price, especially if it doesnt have any issues. for example, if a shirt is new and in the plastic bag, a rectangular sticker will be on the bag. if that same shirt is returned, it is placed in a different bag and will have a square sticker on it. and will be sold to someone at the regular price if there was nothing wrong with the item.
you could email the mods at qvcsocialteam.com for explanations or you could email or call the office of the president of qvc for further help.

What exactly do you want to get straightened out? QVC sells thousands of items that have been returned by customers as first class merchandise. I've gotten many, many clothing items that were returns and they've all been in pristine condition. You can read the definition of "as is" merchandise in the CS section.

The mine in Brazil has not been closed for decades and may still be open. Santa Maria is being sourced from other areas besides that mine. If you go to the GIA website, there is great information about aquamarine.

@MichiGal - Actually, what happens with many "special price" items on QVC is that a specific amount of those items is set aside for sale during the special price event, such as a gem day, TSV, Big Deal, or One Day Only sale. It can be very frustrating to see the size or color or style of an item you want be "sold out" before you can buy it during these events, but in some cases, if you check the QVC website a couple of days later, you'll find that what you wanted is available for purchase at a higher price. There are many claims in the realm of "this is all we'll ever have" or "we can never bring this in again" for categories across the Q's inventory, but that doesn't mean that every available piece is being presented or is offered for sale on air at that moment.
So I'd say there's a pretty good chance that you could be getting an original, first-quality bracelet, just at a higher price. I've been able to get quite a few things over the years that "sold out" during a Sunday special event but were magically back in stock on a Wednesday (just as an example). And if the bracelet you get does end up being used or even just not what you need/want, you can always return it. Good luck!

Thanks for that info on the stickers. I've always wondered if an item was a return, especially if I purchased it on clearance. I thought that maybe the plastic clothing bags that were folded in half were the returned ones that had been repackaged. This is good information to know.
