There have been MANY threads on this forum (and others) regarding packages that sit and wait to be picked up by the 3rd party contracted by QVC for SurePost packages. I've written how many of mine sit for 5-15 days at the Post Office before being picked up and then, can't track it because once the 3rd party takes over, the tracking info is useless. QVC CS has been FANTASTIC when I've called up on the 12th day, told them the date I dropped it off and given them the numbers they ask for off the receipt...they've credited my CC instantly.
Today I dropped off two packages: one for QVC and one for EVINE. Both use SurePost. EVINE allows 10 days for a package to arrive via SurePost and though I've told them it may sit for up to 15 days, they claim they've never seen that happen (okay, whatever). I mentioned to the clerk about SurePost and she told me this:
Well, funny thing you asked. Today we had the Post Master General, the Post Office Manager and the HEAD of SurePost for this area ALL here regarding pick-ups. Customers are constantly complaining about it. REFUNDS have had to be given to customers as well as to VENDORS because packages were not received within the CONTRACTED time. Apparently, SurePost drivers are to PICK UP ALL SUREPOST ITEMS DAILY, NO EXCEPTION. The drivers are refusing, however. Why? Because they have to drive them BACK to a specific facility and don't want to that for a a few packages. The "they have to have XYZ number or weight" was a LIE they told the Post Office. This has been happening all over the US and I don't know WHAT happened but it's stopping NOW'.
My SurePost items are being picked up today. That was told to me at 3:15 this afternoon. As of now, they HAVE been picked up. Let's hope this continues and that EVERYONE sees the change!!!
