I've posted this elsewhere also.  I wrote to the mods and here's the response:

Hi Good morning, thank you for your email. We are looking into this now. We have seen the treads and we are also experiencing fonts inconsistency this AM.  Hopefully will have answers and resolutions shortly.

@dulwich I wish everyone who has trouble with this font would post a separate complaint. Maybe THAT would have some results. I shall post my complaint every single day.

Another "brilliant" idea.  Why can't they leave things alone when there was nothing wrong with the original font.  I now have to put on my reading glasses to read this website.  Ridiculous.  Someone most have been bored at home and came up with this ludicrous idea of making things harder instead of easier to read.

Some posters could increase their font as well. Sometimes I can not read it and I really want to. I  move on.I just had my eye exam this week,and no change so it is not my glasses Lol.
