Suggested searches gone !

I used to be able to just type a few letters in search box and the suggested menu would show and I could just hit which line , item I wanted and now it's gone . It was very useful if looking up a particular item many times a day.

Do you mean for the forum community? It's still working for me, if that's the case.

I still get the suggestions to come up, but now when I click on one nothing happens. It used to go to that item/brand page when you clicked the appropriate selection. It's no longer an advantage if I have to still type out the whole thing myself anyway.

@Kitty Galore If I am understanding you correctly, you have to be on the main page then the field will populate with your options. If you aren't on the main page it won't give you options.

@geezerette exactly !! That's exactly what I'm referring

to ! Your totally right it's not an advantage at all if we have to type out the whole thing,!!! If it isn't one thing that needs fixing it's another ! QVC can you please fix this ?

@cjm61 actually it gave the suggestions whoever I was nit just the main page . I would start typing in part of the word and if I had searched that item , line previously it would finish it and I could just click on it and not hsve go type out the who.evthing !

@Kitty Galore - The search functionality on this website leaves A LOT to be desired.

For your particular example, you can enter a few letters of one search to get suggested options, but if you click through to go to one of the pages of search results or a specific item, the search area dropdown will then be filled with a whole bunch of stuff that you may not want, including suggested alternate searches (which are often just dopey misspellings of the search word or phrase) plus suggested products. As @cjm61 suggested, even though it is frustrating, if you always click the icon for the home page (or one of the other standard elements such as a category name link) and start over with your new search there, you'll see the suggestions directly associated with your search word/phrase again.

And as others have noted, the suggested search feature is not enabled in the search bar at the top of the forum pages.
