Stick a fork in me, I may be DONE!

I returned a dress for an EXCHANGE of a larger size. They received on August 8th. I kept checking to see if the exchange was being processed.

Oh heck no, they just issued me a refund! The size I need is AVAILABLE so why in the world would they just issue the refund and not process??????

And they say so problems with doing an exchange! HA!

The dress was on a special price and now it is listed higher or I would just reorder it.
Poor service for dang sure.

I've had to always do a live chat on my returns too. They show received for weeks and no credit issued.

It has happen to me the same problems numerous times. I fill the to request exchange or store credit. The next thing I get an email saying it's going back to my credit card. I even call customer service and they say they noted my account, still nothing. No one is paying attention to the returns. The product is still in stock. It's sad.

@crazy4bears  The much touted return system has never worked as they describe it.  I've heard so many stories like yours, I just send items back and reorder them if I really want them.  I guess the return process is too much trouble.

You might contact the mods with your order number and see if they can help with the price on a new order.  The order where the refund was done is a done deal.

I think their "you can exchange any item for free" is a farce. It seems QVC can't be bothered with doing so and find it easier on their end to issue a credit and be done with it. And yet we hear the exchanges for free sales pitch over and over and over from the hosts on air. Right. Woman Frustrated

@crazy4bears if you call or chat with customer service and explain what happened, they may send you the dress for the original price.  I don't know for sure, but I would check with them if I were you.

@crazy4bears - Email the Social Team:  QVCSocialTeam@qvc.com

Give them your order information and explain what happened.  They should be able to place a new order for you at the price you previously paid.

One other thing - make sure the return shipping wasn't deducted from your refund.  If it was, get the Social Team to refund that to you, too.

I haven't used the exchange system for years now.  It worked for me once, that I can remember, but other times didn't.  However, I always made sure I got the return postage refunded, if it was deducted through no fault of mine.

Re: Stick a fork in me, I may be DONE!

I agree that this exchange system does not work.   It's good in theory, but it looks like the returns department has not been properly trained to READ the return slip to see what the customer actually wants done.   They automatically issue a refund to the credit card, with no product in a different size/color/ etc. sent to the customer, as was requested.   It's lazy on Q's part and frustrating for the customer.    If it's too much trouble to check every return slip for instructions, then just stop saying S &H is free for exchanges, since that rarely ever happens.

I'm waiting on an exchange too.  I sent it August 8th.  After reading this, I sure hope an exchange is done and not a return.

Question--if you want an exchange which is supposed to be free??? and they credit you instead, do they deduct the return shipping charge??
