So frustrated with QVC Exchanges!

I have asked for exchanges on three different clothing items over the past two months and they are never exchanged even though the website says they are in stock.  QVC stop telling people they can get a free exchange when obviously they cannot.  When I called customer service, they said the item has just been returned--not exchanged.  This is deceitful advertising!  Is anyone getting free exchanges recently?

@casterp   They obviously don't want to be bothered with a more labor-intensive return when it's easier to just do a refund.  Be sure they didn't charge you for return shipping.

When you returne the item is there a place on the return slip to check exchange for a different size? If so make a copy of your return slip. Then maybe this will be proof that you asked for an exchange and they will honor their pledge.

@casterp  I have received free exchanges but they take forever and it's never certain if the item will really be exchanged or just returned as what happened to you. Because of my experiences, if I want to exchange something, I most often either (1) decide I don't want it badly enough and just return it, or (2) go ahead and just reorder it immediately in the size or color I want because the "free"part of an exchange just isn't worth the aggravation of  not knowing if I'll really get it and, even if I do, it taking forever.  I just go ahead return the first one while my reorder is on its way to me.

If you really want to get a particular item, just reorder it and do a return on the other item.  Yes, this is definitely more expensive, but it you really want the item, chances are better you'll get it than waiting for an exchange.

I have never requested a free exchange because I know it will take much too long with waiting for the return to be received and then processed and re-sent.  Many times it would be sold out before the exchange can be made.

 

I would not be surprised if the exchange could take a month before you  actually receive the exchange item.  Any time I would actually need to exchange an item would be rare so the saving a few bucks once in a blue moon would not be worth it to me.

@casterp - I have about a 75% success rate with exchanges. I often don't bother because the process takes so long, but I have definitely received exchanges rather than refunds most of the time. I always make sure to circle or highlight or otherwise emphasize the "exchange" details on the return slip; I think that helps the request be more noticeable for workers who may be processing a lot of things at once. You can also email QVCSocialTeam@qvc.com with the order and exchange information when your package is on its way—they can place a note on your account about the exchange request, and at times (it seems to depend on both the item and the vendor), they can even get your exchange on its way to you while your initial item is en route.

They should ship out the new item as soon as they get proof that the item is sent...

 

Amazon sends out the replacement  as soon as you request one and give you a couple weeks to returen the old one before they charge you card for it..

absolute horrible customer service!

 

same thing happened to us when we purchased a dyson vacuum that quit working. They advised a replacement would be sent and then we never heard back from them again.

 

When we decided enough and followed up with QVC, this time the rep advised that a refund was issued instead. Never did any of the 3 different reps we spoke to prior have a clue as to what was going on and all 3 gave conflicting stories! 

 

Finally after speaking to a supervisor whom was just as clueless as the rest, she stated a refund would post to our paypal account and there is nothing they can do to assist! 

 

Still no refund received and about to pursue legal action. 

 

Worst experience ever and plan to shop elsewhere going forward!
