@goldensrbest I don't know either...nothing out of sorts there.I think we should never stop talking about these horrific events.We can't just move on and wait for the next one so that we can all express our shock and sadness.We need to demand better gun controls and help for mentally ill people so that our families can feel safe once again going to school,movies and church.We need to hear from people all over about how they feel.

Well, my comment on this thread has been removed -- as anticipated.

As for not discussing this matter, it continues to engage many of us because we are highly, frightfully concerned for the lives of our loved ones (and our own life, too).

@goldensrbest  Threads about shootings obviously can become highly charged politically and inevitably illicit debates about gun control.

While there were strong opinions, it seemed fairly respectful.

Must have been the subject matter, in general.

I don't like threads like that, we don't have all the information, it's crazy to just post on top of posts with misinformation.

I read all the posts, I didn't see why it had to be closed.

But so be it until the next time

It was closed because it became argumentative.

It was the usual gun regulations vs. everybody should open carry so that they can be Dirty Harry arguments.

It would be nice if people to leave that out of the conversations, but I know that that will never happen.

Also, there were those that purposefully posted pot stirring comments with the sole purpose of getting the tread taken down.
