I have an issue with return shipping.  I called this morning and was told by Karen that in the case of an easy pay order, you figure the order total (including outgoing shipping) and divide that number (order total) by the number of easy pays.  Then you subtract the $3.00 that you originally charged for shipping from that one easy pay refund amount... and the cost of the return label.

Aren't you deducting your original shipping twice then.  ie:  If I purchased something for $50.00 and you add $3.00 for shipping ... the total is $53.00 on two easy pays... so for my refund, you divide the $53.00 by two... and that's $26.50 ... and then you deduct ANOTHER $3.00 from that!  That's an additional $1.50 they deduct from my refund. Not to mention the additional $6.95 for the return label.

It seems like double dipping for the cost that you sent it to us.  In my honest opinion, I think you should figure returns on the item cost...divided by the number of easy pays and then deduct the $3 original shipping from that.

Karen wasn't helpful when she told me to order more carefully... REALLY?  This type of response for a person who has been shopping with you for close to 20 years!

Re: Shipping Double Dipping?

@NYYfan24Not messing with the sales tax, I think you should have gotten $16.65 as a refund for the item and the shipping.  You never paid the full $3 shipping yet because it was an EZPay item and you can't get back what you didn't pay. In fact, you still had $150 of the $3 to pay.  At least I think that's how it's being done.

As for my opinion on the shipping cost -  it's immaterial to me.  Once I know the terms pof the sale and the costs and I go ahead and prder, I've agreed to do it their way.

That works for every retailer I know.  They choose what the price will be and I choose whether I agree and will buy.  I've dropped two huge retailers in the last 2 years just because I realized I was paying more than they were worth to me.

Re: Shipping Double Dipping?

Sorry, I don't see where you're paying an extra $1.50.  The way I see it, you didn't already pay the original $3.00 shipping because it was divided in half with the E.P.  You only paid $1.50 to start with.

Re: Shipping Double Dipping?

Bottom line:  It costs you AT LEAST $10 every time you send something back.  So when you order cheap stuff like kitchen gadgets and such it cost maybe half the cost if you want to return it.
