I noticed things in my wishlist that are sale priced have gone up anywhere from $5-$20.  I was waiting for another free ship day, but it doesn't pay to wait.  If it's on sale already why jack up the price?

Dynamic pricing increases QVC's margin.

I agree. I bought a lot of fall decor on sale. They played a pricing game, up and down, up and down. Just put it on sale and move it out.

They have stuff on As and many times the in-stock item is cheaper than the As-is price or the As is the price is only a couple of dollars less than the original price. Some of the As-is stuff has been there forever. Why not mark it down and get rid of it?

@Pecky    I see sales prices go up everywhere I shop for anything from cereal to washing machines the day after a sale ends.  Macy's, Chico's, Nordstrom, and the list goes on and on.  Prices fluctuate.

The purpose of a sale can be to get rid of old inventory, but it can also just be a way to raise the volume of sales temporarily.

When I need something that goes on sale, I pay for shipping IF MY TOTAL PRICE IS LOWER THAN THE PRICE MIGHT BE ONCE THE SALE ENDS, but overall I save best by buying fewer items, not by trying to outwit the retailers.

A sale is exactly that - a temporary sale.  Like the things a grocery store puts on "sale" every week.  Other retailers also have sale pricing.

QVC generally, in my experience, states quite clearly that it's a sale price for a certain period of time.

Clearance items are different, although I've even seen a clearance price change.

Bottom line:  if you see what you want, at a price you're happy to pay, buy it.  You can't count on it being the same price a day, week, month down the road.

My point is, it is still stating a sale price at a higher sale price.  Take it off sale if it isn't any longer.

Just like the games Kohl's plays with prices. Next you know QVC willl be dishing out QVC cash! HA!

Re: Sales Prices Going Up

@SaveTheTurtles - You mean like HSN does???  Spendable Ka$h?

Well, if QVC does, sign me up, because I never get a thing from HSN.  At least I do with Kohl's.

And I got the best price anywhere for the recent Ninja double-oven TSV at Kohl's.  Yes, I used coupons (that could be stacked) and a discount.  But $180 vs. $240?  Picked it up locally, no waiting for it to be delivered (although I could've for free).  And I got Kohl's Cash back to spend on something else.

Another benefit:  if I don't like the oven or for some reason it doesn't work, I can take it back to my local store, within 6 months.  No hassle boxing and shipping it back to QVC.  Immediate refund.

I shop where I get the best value.  (I'll take coupons and discounts any day.)
