I order the lap desk for my daughter at Christmas. She is disabled and I thought it would help her out with her tablet/phone. At Christmas she did not open all of her gifts as far as removing them from the original packaging. She had to have major surgery and when she came to my house to heal she said mama lets put the desk together. 4/20/2023 I know it was a long time but I still should not have gotten JUNK.
I went and got it and was so excited for her to finally be able to use it. I have had orders before that went months beyond date for return if necessary and had NEVER had a problem until I opened this desk. It looked like someone had laid it out on a busy highway . The legs would not work - the holder for the cell phone the bracket kept falling off where the screws were way too small. The molding on top of the desk near the bottom broke off at every screw (4) that can not be repaired. The back piece for the tablet to rest on it broke. I thought I would have a heart attack. I have never never received such JUNK from QVC. I have heard some say they have gotten things broken but this was my first and I have been ordering from QVC since they first aired back in the 80s'!!
I apologized to my daughter and told her I would find something on Amazon for her and we would open it as soon as it comes in.
I just paid off all my easy pay and will be closing out my acct once I show a 0 balance. I will be leaving and not returning to the Q nor willI watch it any more. It only has taken one bad time for me ladies. The long realtionship I've had with this company and they have stooped down below the dirt in what we get!
I will now save thousands of dollars by not watching!! May you all have better luck than I had with this product.
The Q is now in the JUNK business!! They are worse than TEMU!!!

@Ms Tink - You may still want to contact CS about that product. There are 100 1-star reviews with exactly the same complaints.
Some states have implied warranty laws that cover things well past the manufacturer's stated warranty. (The implied warranty laws override those.) You can check your state's consumer protection laws for that.
If the lap desk was poorly manufactured and couldn't be used for its intended purpose, you should at least try to do something about it. I wouldn't bother with the regular CS reps by phone. Either email the Social Team with the exact information of your order and the problem (QVCSocialTeam@qvc.com) or call corporate direct.
The product should be fit for the purpose stated and as presented on air and online. You should not lose your money on something you couldn't even use.

You can tell returns by the item number on the outside of item. It is t the usual dark black item # with bar code it is a reprint. I get them, the other day inside my ordered item, the bag had the reprint of item# but inside was a jogger set with tags from a brand QVC doesn't even carry.

I've been on QVC since the late 80's and yes I've received returns that had been used big time!! Not a ton of items, but one in particular was incredibly disappointing. A smallish pink make up case (with no makup included). It looked like a Kaboodles piece. Wasn;'t cheap. Came back to me with liquid make up smeared over the interior bottom. Same with some eye shadow colors. Same with brunette hairs!! Yuck! I don't think QVC's return staff looked at it at all, even if they didn't open it they would have seen how dirty the outside was.
If you've never had this issue count yourself very lucky!

I got a leather jacket once with dirty snotty tissues in the pocket and a purse with gum wrappers in it.
Really gross. I sent them back. The items weren't just " tried on" they were used.

I don't shop much anymore at the Q, but one time several years ago I ordered a handbag and it arrived in nice condition and I wouldn't have known it was used had it not been for the $20 bill neatly folded and tucked in the small zip inside wall pocket. The only other problem I had some years back was when I ordered a bra from QVC and it arrive in a small clear plastic bag. When I opened the bag the smell of Betadine almost knocked me over, it was that strong. The bra wreaked with the smell of Betadine. Back it went as fast as I could mail it. Other than those two times, everything else, that I can remember, seemed fine.

Instead of getting angry, call CS right away when receiving a damaged or not received item. CS has always resolved my problem. I never received used items as brand new either. Boxes do get damaged in shipping too. Check them right away.

Thanks for your comment but I will continue to use my writing style just as everyone else does. I don't consider myself to be be a thing other than honest in my comments....and nice. I take plenty of flack and rude comments for being honest. Some people just can't stand it.

I just received a Susan Graver Blazer and the previous customer removed the hem in each sleeve leaving raw edges. The blazer reeks like perfume. I don't mind receiving a return in new condition but clearly the blazer wasn't checked before sending out to another customer. For those who say they've never received a used item, you're lucky. Please don't imply that it doesn't happen because it does, and it's happening more and more with QVC's warehouse.
