Re: STOP SENDING ME USED/RETURNS

[ Edited ]

The QVC  items that I have received  which have looked as though someone else had returned them  were all twisted up in a plastic bag so wrinkled and unfolded. This  has happened rarely in the purchases I have made.If , I need to return  for exchange or return, then I fold the item carefully and place back in the plastic bag . I just wish others who return  would take the time and fold the item .

Now , that being said I have received some small items that require batteries that were defective .

Re: STOP SENDING ME USED/RETURNS

OK all you people who doubt AzRUSHMom, I've received items that have been returned when I ordered new. You can tell by the way they are folded in the plastic bag.  Why would you doubt someone just because your experiences are different?   Coming from another AZ woman--I believe her.  Don't be so crabby to people here.  We all have different issues so respect people's point of view & go on.  Seriously!

Kachina624--please stop talking down to people.  You can disagree with someone without being so sarcastic.  some of your posts are really questionable.  Be Nice! Life is Short!

Re: STOP SENDING ME USED/RETURNS

I frequently order on waitlist or lunchtime special.  It has been just fine for years with one exception.  A hummingbird set of two feeders had one cracked, the box also included the return letter from another customer who got it first.  I got a 50% credit on that one. That's it except for one bracelet full of cake frosting that must have gone to one heck of a wedding reception.  I think I just washed that one off.  I forgot, I did get a Mason Cash broken bowl in a set of three.  I just asked for a one third credit. My purchase average right now is 6 a month, up from 4.  Time to cool down.

Re: STOP SENDING ME USED/RETURNS

This is in response to kachina624  remark. First of all I am not looking to argue with anyone.  I just want to say a few things. Many people have received dirty used clothing that were ordered as new. This has happed to me as well. I recently recieved a bra that was absolutely filthy and full of cat hair . I ordered a new bra, not as is .

If you read some product reviews I think you would find that there are many other people that have had the same issues.

I have been with QVC since before it was  called QVC and this has only been happening in the last couple of years.

I do not mean to offend anyone, or to sound rude, everyone has the right to expect to receive what they ordered and paid for. Maybe shopping in a department store you get items someone has tried on or a return but I have never seen anything like this in a store.

We also have the right to shop where we want.

Re: STOP SENDING ME USED/RETURNS

I agree with you. I have heard on numerous occasions by the host that no one has tried on the product and if this is true and it's not an AS IS product then the Q  should stand by their word and not send products that have been opened and tried on by a Customer. What other retail businesses do is beside the point, we are talking about the Q and what they claim.

@Venezia  No doubt some people need to stick to the brick and mortar stores.  That's the only way one can hold the item in their hands and examine it before they buy  At the store, we can make sure the tags are on and that the item is clean and undamaged.  One would hope that QVC does that with returns, but it seems they don't. If I was getting volumes of QVC throw-away items, I'd go back to shopping in person.

LOL  as mentioned @eaesquire

ALL retailers put returned items BACK on the rack.

I worked retail years ago.  The employee is responsible for checking it out....applying a new price tag, get a hanger and RIGHT back it goes!!

You also have NO way of knowing how many people before you tried on that garment.

The only advantage is that you get to see the condition first, but you don't know that item's history either!

I never said retailers don't put returned items back on the rack. Never even implied it.  As a former retail employee, I personally restocked returned items. What I did NOT do was 1) accept a returned item that was damage/destroyed and 2) put that trash item back on the shelf/rack expecting some other shopper to buy it.  Based on my experience and that of others posting here, QVC is doing that.

QVC sent a dirty pair of jeans to me that could not be salvaged. I think someone spilled something on them.  Whatever it was could not be fixed and it was not ok for QVC to send that garbage to me. Some seem to be arguing that it was cool for QVC to do that, and perceive that I'm the problem based on an invented narrative that I expect 100% untouched, virgin clothing delivered into my closet on the wings of an angel.  We'll have to agree to disagree.

Re: STOP SENDING ME USED/RETURNS

i have been shopping with QVC since about the mid to late 80s.

i know i have received "returned" items that are perfectly fine.....no different than picking out something in a store and knowing someone has tried it on or even taken it home to try on or POSSIBLY even had worn it, but was very careful. i can generally tell what is a returned item because the barcode on the plastic is different than on a brand new item.

i have received some damaged items and some defective items. those are fine because i can easily send them back for a full refund OR an exchange if i want to take a chance again. on occasion, sometimes QVC will just tell me to donate it or throw it away.

i have received ONE obviously used item in this entire period of time. it was a purse and it had a cross in the pocket, gum, and some change. it was in perfect condition so i kept it. i informed qvc customer service and they gave me a partial refund on that item since i decided to keep it.

i cannot even imagine sending back "two boxes full of used items" and still remain a qvc shopper.

Re: STOP SENDING ME USED/RETURNS

I just packaged up a Belle  swimsuit to return.  Came completely wrinkled up in package and had an extreme perfume smell.  I have also received an item that had tissue in pocket.  It does not happen often but it has happened.

I got a kick out of your post when it came to the purse. I wrote a similar post saying I received a used purse with a small bottle of Nest perfume inside.

You made quite a haul in your used purse...especially if that cross was 14k gold and had a full pack of gum!!! Woman Very Happy
