Every "as is" item I ever received was perfect and new with tags...probably an overstocked item.
I recently received an "as is' item that must have been a return..the only sign was the inside packaging was torn open and taped shut. The product was unused.
Returning an " as is' item because it has pet fur or appears to have been washed does not make it a damaged item.
You should not be able to get free return shipping by marking it damaged.
I know people do it, but that is dishonest. No wonder prices are high.
If you are that picky, always buy new. Then if washed and clearly used, return as defective.

@skatting44 One time Jill Bauer was selling a pair of shoes and she told the audience that they were given to her. I think a lot of stuff is given to the hosts to "model". Another time a vendor selling a make-up product complained on air about how many products she had to give to the hosts.

I think for me it was the dog or cat hair. I don't mind getting something that was a return but there should be some quality control.
